That photo is on the cover of today's Stars and Stripes. It's a picture taken last September of a Marine who'd just been injured in a roadside bombing showing what he thought of the bomber.

Now while I can certainly sympathize with the Marine's feelings at the time and don't blame him for the gesture, I do hope that photo doesn't become the iconic image that everyone remembers this war by. I mean it's certainly not the kiss from World War II, now is it?
